Its been very cold, and it has been unusually dry, which has led to the strange phenomenon above, that the french call "givre". The closest translation i can come up with is frost. 

These huge delicate flakes of ice grow from everything and stand taller and more intricate every day. I believe its from evaporation being drawn from the snow and trees and re-freezing at the surface.


My reaction to the forecast of snow


Finally we have some snow on the radar, not for a week, and not a lot; but snow is snow and i'd like some bad weather! i'm getting too fit walking every day. 


So hopefully i have finished my last adventures without planks on my feet before spring. Below are a few screen grabs taken from the gopro, of a ski tour/ hike/ scramble/ ice climb, Robyn and I put our selves through yesterday. Apologies for the quality of the pictures.
